Here is the step-by-step process for using BizFilings:
Step 1. Select the Order button from the homepage first. Then, choose whether you want a corporation or Limited Liability Company (LLC) or whether you need one of their international packages. If you are forming a company without a mailing address in the U.S., you will need to select one of the international packages; otherwise, do not choose this option.
Step 2. Select the state of incorporation and the type: corporation, non-profit corporation or LLC. For example purposes we will follow a standard corporation process from beginning to end in the next few steps.

You will see your total fees, including the state filing fee, which goes directly to the state and will vary from state to state.
Step 4. Next you will be asked for your corporate name. You only need to put one option here, even though they ask if you want a second choice. If you are reasonably certain no one else has your name, just place your first choice here. If filing for a corporation, you will also be asked how many shares you want. You can change the defaults, if you desire.
Step 5. You will be asked for basic contact information. You will also be asked who will the registered agent be. You may opt for yourself, or you may let BizFilings be your registered agent. Both have advantages. If you select yourself, you will have to make sure to keep all your documents filed on time. If you select BizFilings, you can always change this at a later date.
Step 6. Fill out basic director information (for corporations only) and finalize payment. That's it! It should only take a couple of minutes to go through the process.
