An excellent place to start is in the clearance section of the Brookstone site. Here, you will find items with substantial markdowns. We have seen items regularly priced at $500 for only $199 (60% off!). This is a distinct advantage over buying from the catalog or one of the walk-in Brookstone stores. The clearance section, labeled "Outlet Store," has a wide range of items in it. Many clearance sections aren't as extensive as this. MyConsumerGuide also posts merchant coupons. Anytime that Brookstone issues a coupon, we will post it here.
One thing we have noticed is that Brookstone seems to have a much more extensive collection of items on its site than it has in its walk-in stores or its mail-order catalog.
Some of the most popular products that are ordered are the Tempur-Pedic matresses and pillows. The golf digital distance scope is another popular item. One item we thought makes a perfect gift is the Talking Photo Album, priced at just $45. What parent or grandparent would not want one of these on their office desk? But our favorite seller is the Slim Profile CD System, which is priced at only $110.

What is actually somewhat easy to miss is the Brookstone Outlet. At the top of the page you will notice a small link. Here, you will find a a decent collection of Outlet items - all at great prices. This is a must-see part of the site.
You may also miss the Hard-to-find-tools section since it is broken out into a separate category from the main section. Be sure to check this extensive collection of items. This is sorted by Room or Solution. Some of the items here will be cross-indexed with other sections of the site.
One of our favorite features on the Brookstone site is the Gift Ideas section. This will allow you to search by budget. We have found this to be extremely useful and each category offers a wide range of creative gift ideas. Sometimes, we will search the site for ourselves using this method. The Gift Idea section also breaks down your searches by occasion or collection. Again, this is something we have found useful when we shop for ourselves.
