"Country Home Products® began in the mid-1980s with a relatively simple idea — to refine the popular hand-held string trimmer by putting it on wheels. The goal was to make an easy-to-use string trimmer that would also perform well as a heavy-duty mower. With large wheels, a lightweight aluminum frame, and a powerful 3.5 HP engine, the Original trimmer on wheels — the DR® TRIMMER/MOWER — was born.
As the popularity of the DR® TRIMMER/MOWER increased, we found that many of our Owners also had a need for other unique, labor-saving power products. In the years that followed, we developed and added new products to our line of outdoor power equipment, including the DR® FIELD and BRUSH MOWER, DR® POWERWAGON, DR® CHIPPER, and the NEUTON Cordless Electric Mower.
Our Mission
Country Home Products began in a log cabin on the shore of Lake Champlain, in Charlotte, Vermont. Since those early days we've moved a few times (although we still have offices in Charlotte), and we've added quite a few people to our staff, but our mission has always been the same:
